Ajman Transport Authority launches the “Check and Go” initiative for the second consecutive year to inspect government employees’ vehicle tires
As part of its continuous efforts to enhance road safety and reduce accidents caused by technical malfunctions, Ajman Transport Authority has launched, for the second consecutive year, the “Check and Go” initiative, aimed at providing free tire inspection services for vehicles belonging to employees of local and federal government entities in the emirate.
The initiative includes tire inspection, air pressure checks, and verification of tire lifespan, thereby raising awareness of the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and ensuring the safety of road users.
The initiative was carried out in cooperation with Ajman Police General Headquarters and police stations, the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, the Department of Economic Development, in addition to several government entities located at the Government Departments Complex, which houses the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, the Human Resources Department, the Legal Affairs Department, the Ajman Excellence Program – Statistics Department, the Digital Government Department, and the Department of Financial and Administrative Audit. The initiative is also scheduled to continue in the coming period at the Civil Defense Department and the Department of Finance.
Ammar Hassan Al Shaer, Director of the Investment Department, emphasized that the “Check and Go” initiative reflects Ajman Transport Authority’s commitment, represented by Speed Vehicle Testing and Registration Center, to promoting a culture of traffic safety among government employees, providing a safe and sustainable work environment that contributes to protecting lives and property. He pointed out that it is an important step to reinforce awareness about the significance of regular vehicle maintenance within the framework of shared social responsibility.
This initiative comes as a continuation of its success last year and in alignment with the Authority’s vision to provide a safe and sustainable transport system that supports quality of life and aligns with Ajman’s drive towards a safer and more sustainable future.
